Visiting this website if a far cry from visiting Progress Grocery, it lacks the undescribable aroma, the visual stimuli that illustrated the cultural history, and the very people that made up what most remember as Progress Grocery. The store which was located at 915 Decatur St. in the heart of the French Quarter has since been closed due to the changing demographics of the French Quarter. Over the years, Progress Grocery began taking their quality imported products from around the world to the famouse restaurants that create the backbone of fine New Orleans cuisine. It was this vision of sharing good tasting quality food to the people of New Orleans that has continued the family tradition in the food business. We are currently in our fourth generation with one grandson, one great grand daughter, and three great grandsons of the originator of Progress Grocery, Bartolomew Perrone.
The Perrone family would like to thank you for visiting Progress Grocery online. We are in the process of getting our website reconstructed. If you would like to order Progress Grocery products or other products manufactured or distributed by Perrone and Sons, you can email us at orders@perroneandsons.com with a subject header similar to this one ( Online Order: YOUR NAME) and leave all the important information, like address, phone number, and your detailed order.
